The overarching objective of this course is to equip second-year Master students in Renewable Energy with the advanced knowledge and critical thinking skills required to architect, analyze, and manage integrated cyber-physical systems that leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) to optimize the performance, reliability, and economic value of renewable energy assets and their integration within the modern smart grid. The pedagogical trajectory is designed to transition students from foundational principles (Chapter 1) through a deep understanding of the core technological stack (Chapter 2), and finally to a synthesized, application-oriented mastery (Chapter 3), enabling them to not only implement IoT solutions but also to critically evaluate their limitations, security implications, and future potential in addressing the grand challenges of the global energy transition.
