Objectives of the Courses
The main objective of teaching English as a foreign language is to facilitate communication in all its forms by developing learners’ competencies and skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. For this reason, many methods and approaches have been adopted by the Algerian educators in general to seek efficiency and, ESP in particular, which responds to a constantly developing world economically and socially. However, suitable courses of English for historical purposes designed to meet several objectives such as:
- Students will get an opportunity to learn more about their field of study (history)
- They will acquire more vocabulary and improve their knowledge of grammar and they will explain and discuss terminologies and concepts
- They will also be made aware of spoken and written language registers.
- The courses are selected in relation to specific themes to meet the students’ needs and interests.
