This online course entitled "Probability and Statistics" is presented in accordance with the outline of the LMD-S3 Bachelor's degree course for the Science and Technology (ST) field and the LMD-S1 SNV Bachelor's degree course. This course is structured in three parts and nine chapters: the first part concerns statistics, the second is devoted to probability and the last part is reserved for exercises.
The first chapter presents some basic notions and terminology relating to numerical observations in statistics. The second and third chapters deal with statistical series with one and two variables. Chapter four deals with the notions of combinatorial analysis. Chapters five, six and seven are devoted respectively to an introduction to probability, conditioning and independence and random variables. The last two chapters have been reserved for the presentation of the usual discrete and continuous probability distribution.
