This course focuses on the analysis and operation of electrical networks used in modern power systems. It provides students with the necessary tools to model, analyze, and interpret the behavior of electrical circuits and interconnected networks under various operating conditions.
The course covers fundamental laws, network modeling techniques, and systematic analysis methods, including nodal and mesh approaches. Special attention is given to AC power analysis, voltage regulation, power flow concepts, and loss minimization in electrical networks. Introductory concepts related to transmission lines, transformers, and reactive power compensation are also discussed.
