Course Description:

A language sums up the civilization of a given people in any given country. It is a reflection of the civilization of its native speakers. The English language is no exception. The cradle of the English language was with the beginning of the civilization of the British Kingdom, then America. Therefore, the current course takes you on a chronological journey, exploring the different stations of the British civilization then the American ones. In the first semester, we try to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for this new course and improve students’ knowledge of the English language through British life and history.
